While sitting at the hospital, YouTube has been my friend and kept me company. This particular video is a police type video, it centers around a woman who was pulled over by the county sheriff because she was weaving all over the road. Her car has extensive body damage which he suspects was caused by hitting a guard rail and she cannot remember how it happened. Although he doesn't smell alcohol, the sheriff suspects she is intoxicated. The sheriff wants to administer a "field sobriety test" and therein is where I would like to make a statement concerning myself. Since having a knee replacement in October, I can't imagine that if I was asked to do a field sobriety test that I could pass. Strangely, it has been 9 months since my surgery however, I have "lost" my balance. It has been 9 months since my surgery and I wonder whether my balance will return?

I smashed my knee up in a car crash 30 years ago.

I can walk around the house alright, because it is level. Outside, the pavements are uneven, so I sway around a bit, to lessen the pain in my knee.

Balance is said to be the ears, so get those checked out first, Dewaxed and so on.

I lose balance sometimes. I may walk one way all sudden I turn the other way . Sometimes I have to stop or I get on people way. Oh by the way I have a fuse ankle

If you didn't have balance issues before the surgery, chances are there was some nerve damage.
I lost 40% use of my right leg due to the accident I was in that also caused neurological damage. The explanation that I got from a neurologist was that the body has "sensors" all over that tell the brain where it is in "space" so to speak. The brain prefers to be level and your brain directs your limbs to maintain position ,it is subconscious.
If it is in the inner ears, that would be Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, which there is a process you can do to help that,Brandt-Daroff exercises

In your situation I would lean towards nerve damage or a pinched nerve not letting the knee talk to the brain.

Well being I have physical disability's myself I try to refrain from "making fun" of fetterman and just say the obvious, he does not need to be where he is, he is not capable of doing the job well enough. regardless of his politics.
