Be careful folks, scammers are out there.
I have a debit card I don't use often,it is linked to a account I use online with paypal.
Well I used it the other day to get some gas,the 19th. Well, this evening,about 6:40,My phones all start ringing,my bank calling,potential fraud on my card. Sure enough,at 6:30,some sumbitch tried to buy something from Healthwise or something similar to that in canada for 18 bucks.I KNOW it was not me because at that time I was putting a deck engagement cable on a Troybilt lawnmower!
I called the Murphy gas station and told them there was potentiall a scanner on that pump. and I guess I will go by the grocery store in the morning that I used the card at this morning. Makes me mad as hell. I don't live a big ,fancy high speed life,Don't have alot of money,but some sumbitch has to make things tough and trys to take what little i do have. And NOTHING will be done to the bastards that tried to use my card.NOTHING>

Gas stations are notoriously bad for skimming info from your curds. The safest way is to take your card into the store and pay for it there. It’s inconvenient but it is safer. Check out this article.

Well So far Murphy has no clue if there was a scanner or not.
I just got back from the bank and all is well with the account and the little money in it.
I don't use this card that much so the 1 in my pocket being dead for a week is no big deal.I guess I got by easy this time.
Last time it happened the card linked to my account that my retirement goes into was the 1 hacked.NOT good.

It's a huge pain in the ass. Charlie got one card for entertainment only and we transfer what we think the evening will cost with the option to add more at any time. The first time they hit our "Bill Paying Account" What a mess.

I am going to change all my activity to a credit card and stop using debt except to pay the credit card. This is what was mentioned to me as a safer way to do business .As when the fraud happens and money gets gone, it is not YOUR money.
So the card company tends to react to it and deal with it.

One thing I’m curious about DEV01, there are many “couples” that share one account for whatever reason. What I like to know is how the F##k can a person tell if you are chatting with the Mr or the Mrs. it can lead to a lot of trouble or misunderstanding. As far as I was concerned, there was no need to critique my conversation with dgraff, I know what I said and I meant what I said. It was only to show you that I don't give a rat's ass who he is friends with.
