I want PEOPLE to have more control over themselves.
THEY Can work towards high grades, they can work towards independence without government handouts.
Freedom. How can you be free when the government not only makes the rules you have to follow but also supplys your support for housing and food? you become a slave to the government.

I went out to put some bird food into the feeder.
First, I stumbled, about fell, twisted my left ankle and my back, and at the moment, I am experiencing pain ,about a strong 8 right now. I am a little slow about getting the top off the sunflower seed tube. As I was trying to hang it back up, 1 of the grateful birds flew down and flogged my hat, As i was trying to put out it's fucking food.
Reminds me so much of democrats. Give them welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, and they still riot and tear the town down, Flogging the taxpayer that their gifts come from.
Let me give you some facts. Family and Children’s Services in every state controls food stamp and cash help in every state. It’s funded by the national government BUT, the states control who, how and how much. In Florida, it is controlled by the Repuckers in power. In this case it’s DeSantis. Not that it makes much of a difference at $4 a day per person, this help is useless. And now that they use debit cards, you can’t even use food stamps as toilet paper. Grow up, guys. You go after the people that are the neediest and let Big Money walk.

Many people fall into poverty after a job loss, losing a partner or spouse, or a major illness or accident. Or they were born into poverty and remained stuck there largely due to circumstances beyond their control. Either way, they will maintain appearances and hold onto any nice things they have for as long as they can. After all, they’re clearly being judged by those around them.

I have other horrifying stores much like this
I remember very well a black man on our crew,worked his ass off,had a crippled son. He worked 3 jobs. Kept his bills paid and did ok. His wife stayed home and took care of the kid.
You know how he ate good? He had neighbors that were dope heads, he would buy their food stamps for half value in cash, 50 bucks got 100 in food stamps. The druggies bought dope and begged, while he fed his family at a bargain price.That was 28 years ago,his son passed away and he later died of cancer himself.
But that was a early lesson to me just how the government keeps people held down.
The dope head qualified for the stamps,got them,then sold them and themselves and whoever else that may have been depending on them,starved.
The government should deliver cheese,flour,canned meats directly to the needy,NOT stamps or cards. This way they could see that the people were sober,and healthy.Starved and passed out on the couch, no food until you sober up.
It would make fraud much more difficult.
Passing a drug test has been a important part of getting a keeping a job for a long time now. Why it is not required to get government help I will never understand.

The only ones getting help is Grandma and Grandpa. Both get Social Security. He because he worked. She because, even if you never a day in your life, Social Security will pay you retirement. It’s very little but, the reasoning is that a House person worked maintaining the home. The only help they are getting that doesn’t “BELONG” to them outright is their SNAP BENEFIT. That benefit is calculated by what, together, they bring home (their Social Security). Everybody else is not part of that unless Family and Children’s services can prove they also get help from the others in the household.
Now, suppose their SNAP benefits get cut off. How much do you think that is?
SNAP Benefit: The maximum benefit in 2023 for a family of three is $740.
