OK, we females like to wear tiny bikinis and get looked at, but we like to see too ... why do so many men wear the most uninteresting of swimwear = few low cut or see thru = WHY NOT????
I don't like going nude at the pool or on the beach. I don't know why but I define grower over shower: when I am soft I look small as fuck but when I'm hard I'm average sized. Therefore, I don't like to show my dick unless it's hard.
Man, no matter what size you dick is, from a micro-penis all the way up to a foot long monster, I can guarantee you that there are people who want to see it. Indeed, there are many people who LIKE micro-penises and there are many micro owners who enjoy showing them off. Look at lahbr who has posted a photo of his small beauty right here on this Forum topic, then go to his page and have a look at his numerous photos.
Learn to like and be proud of what you've got 'cause it's all you're ever going to get. I strongly suggest you visit a web site titled "Martin's Tiny Penis" operated by a man named Martin who has a micro, loves it and is proud of it. He enjoys going to beaches and pools wearing a Speedo with a tiny bulge in the crotch. He enjoys going to nude beaches and seeing the reaction when people see his tiny dick on his large body. You can do that too. Bring your small dick out of hiding. You'll be glad you did.
my dick gets very small when getting in the water, so even with a speedo there would not be much to see with me... and yes also because of shiness I'm wearing badings shorts instead of a speedo when near a public pool...
When I was in HS the the Speedo was the most popular suit at the pool. Nothing much was hidden but we were all in pretty good shape. In 2011 if a guy wears a Speedo all the women I know want him to change into something else. You might have seen the beer commercial where a guy shows up in a Speedo and everyone puts him down; except the European guy. If you want men in sexy swimwear, you need to first change the image or go to a Nudist beach or resort where suits are not necessary in the first place.
Yes, why have Americans become so uptight about men wearing brief, snug fitting bathing suits with a nice bulge in the crotch? My experience is the same as BushPilot's in that a Speedo used to be de rigueur. Then in the seventies and eighties it became even briefer until a bikini was more or less the standard male bathing suit.
I'm sure that a lot of the problem is that men do not want to be seen as gay as we gay men are practically the only ones who still wear bikinis. I'm long past caring what people think of me so that's what I wear (unless I can get away with less or nothing). And no I do not get disapproval from women, quite the contrary, they approve. It's the men who sometimes do not approve.
I **** labels, like I have to be 'straight' and you 'gay'!! I do agree with your post, though. I think that a lot of 'straight' guys are somehow afraid, or insecure, seeing some really sexy, really hot, 'gay' guys, teasing the women, exciting them, but not wanting them, that way, while we stand back and wonder??
Sometimes I like those 'gay' guys, in their tiny little things, and yeah, it IS OK to like that, and get a little hard!
So start wearing your bikini to the beach or pool. It's OK, you can do it. Maybe if every SYD member would take a vow to never wear more than a bikini when swimming we could send those dreadful, baggy, knee length swim shorts into the dust bin of history.
My two cents: This is because the male body and male skin are stigmatized in a way that they weren't years ago. In this post-feminist/hip-hop saturated world we live in, women are encouraged to expose their skin and draw as much attention as possible to their bodies in order to sexualize themselves even more than they are already sexualized. At the same time, men are encouraged to cover up as much of their bodies as possible because, after all, "nobody wants to see that." The woman is the one who's supposed to get attention because of her body, not the man. This message comes from the media, from men, and most importantly, from countless women. It's a total double standard and, in my middle-aged opinion, is one of the reasons why male homosexuality continues to be so heavily stigmatized.
I think that's true, and as a result, I would never wear a speedo because it would be such a distraction. Who wants to deal with unfriendly looks and snide remarks?
"Most hetero guys don't shave..." Man, where have you been? Yes, we gay guys pretty much started the trend to body grooming, but these days it's become totally mainstream. They even sell (male) body razors at Target, for crying out loud. How straight middle America can you get?
I don't know where the poster is from, but sounds like here in the U.S. People in this country are so uptight about nudity and being covered up in public yet we are one of the biggest suppliers of porn, doesn't make sense to me. Maybe because you now end up on a sex offender list for even peeing in public. We were "discovered" by Puritans and, for whatever reason, still live by some of the old "codes". K.i.d.s today are taught how wrong it is for someone to see you naked that they no longer even shower after gym class or after their sporting event. My s.o.n however was not brought up this way and when young and ran nude like most kids try, I never told him it was wrong or forced clothes back on him. He is now graduating high school next year and remains very open about nudity, he is never offended by another naked person and is not ashamed of his body one bit...the way it should be.
I worked as a lifeguard at a beach where the issued bathing suits where lycra type trunks that were fairly tight fitting though they were not speedos. You could clearly see the outline of my shaft and cockhead all the time, so much so that I sometimes wore a jock underneath it. I got comments mostly from the female guards, who would routinely talk sexy or accidently brush up against me which would result in an instant hardon which was impossible to conceal.
By the way to pull off a speedo, you have to be in exceptional shape, no love handles, no paunchy tummy and you better be hung because it pulls your shit up and in and there won't be anything to show off.
I prefer to see guys in trunks worn real low so you can see the trail of hair from their tummy and a slight bulge is good enough for me.
When I wore a speedo in the 1970s and 1980s, women at hotel swimming pools would stare at me or approach me to chat. One group of nice looking showgirls on vacation from Vegas invited me to come over to play water polo with them. I had to decline because I had a dinner appointment with a business associate. If I had accepted, I'm sure that one of them would have bedded me. I was in good physical shape back then. If I wore a speedo today, I might be made fun of.
In my country it's considered gay to wear speedos.
(Not that there's something wrong about being gay, but most women aren't attracted to gay looking men)
if you see a guy in a BIG -down to the knees- short, you just know..! they like to show off big muscles and beautifull bodies, but not the spot that matters? tiny equipment!! or very insecure about moderate equipment..!
big-where-it-matters-guys wear tight trunks or speedo's just to show off how big his bulge is!! thanks for looking ladies!! (and guys!!)
I agree with heavyequiptment. If you ain't packing large then may not want to wear speedo. I don't think I'm small but dif not large. I ain't wearing a speedo.
I totally agree. One of the main ideas of going to a pool or the beach is to expose as much skin as possible. The knee length shorts that so many guys wear these days are dreadful. Anything more than a bikini is too much. A thong that exposes your ass cheeks is even better. Come on guys, show more skin; if you've got it, flaunt it.
I perfer nude, but popular fashion is slightly longer than knee length shorts ( Bermuda ) which I ****. I like the 80's shorts, you can't find real shorts anymore. What they sell now is 1 foot shy of pants. The prudes control what stores sell, and limit my options closer to the fashion fad that I ****. Besides, I'm a member of the ymca, and they are strict with the swim wear. I get bashed for removing the netting, for obvious reasons. The prudes are getting worse.
So true, it's worth going to their site for the pictures. Most of their swimwear is so miniscule that if you could wear it you could also go nude. But it would be nice if most men would wear suits like theirs at pools and beaches.
I think the truth is that most men are very shy about showing their genitals in public,....I know that I certainly am, even notwithstanding that I 'display' here......
.......Come to that, a very high proportion of women are embarassed by their bodies and feel that they are the 'wrong' shape or their breasts are too small/big etc.

sometimes I show it all

However, a 30's woman, who shaves nearly everything can be 30 pounds 'over weight' in a bikini, and still be really HOT!!
At that time with bathing trunks, now I'm a nudist.
