I don't know if anybody agree's with me but i think BondageBoy421 should be banned ! In my opinion it is not acceptable to mix porn and religion ! Don't know about you but I am offended by his pics !!!!
So...STOP LOOKING AT HIS PICTURES!!!!!!!! (That way, you avoid being offended.) Seriously, if everyone who offended someone else on this site were banned...there would be no SYD left. For example, I am greatly offended by people who mix porn with bad grammar, but I haven't started calling for a ban...yet.
The only problem with his punctuation is that he was a little over zealous with the exclamation marks. His comma use is acceptable, though maybe not preferred by Hardvard standards.
what? (that way,you avoid being offended) you think that the use of the comma in this sentence is correct?or "for example,i am greatly offended by people who mix porn with bad grammar, but i haven't started calling for a ban..yet" .really? you see nothing wrong with this?may i suggest you ask "Hardvard" for their views on the definitive usage of a comma as you clearly dont have a clue.
Use a comma to set off parenthetical elements,as in "The Founders Bridge, which spans the Connecticut River, is falling down." By "parenthetical element," we mean a part of a sentence that can be removed without changing the essential meaning of that sentence. The parenthetical element is sometimes called "added information." This is the most difficult rule in punctuation because it is sometimes unclear what is "added" or
"parenthetical" and what is essential to the meaning of a sentence.
This is the rule everyone gets their panties in a wad over. It is ecceptable, but not yuppie ecceptable. (Hardvard is what I call Harvard, or Yuppie U.)
Thanks for the defense, cumdump! There is, in fact, nothing at all wrong with my comma usage, but it really isn't worth the effort to defend punctuation rules in this particular venue. Everyone posting in the forum has a right to express his/her opinion...even if that opinion is wrong.
i love wikipidia/google ect ect ect too and your still wrong.please can you tell me how "(that way,you avoid being offended)" makes sense seeing as you can remove the comma for it read (that way you avoid being offended) which does?that way,you avoid being offended is one complete sentence and has no need for a comma. ok lets remove the parenthetical element in the second sentence to see how that reads .so does for example but i have'nt started calling for a ban...yet make any sense to you?now lets try the sentence with out the comma and see how that sounds shall we.for example i am greatly offended by people who mix porn with bad grammar but have'nt started calling for a ban ...yet,that sounds perfectly acceptable to me. as for me being the punctuation police i think you should look closer to home on that count as i was making a simple comment on people calling for others to be banned for pointless and over zealous reasons not peoples use of punctuation.it was after all you who said that the gramma was correct, when it was not, and not i.
You obviously have NO idea what you are talking about. I bet that all the failing grades your teachers gave to you were because THEY were wrong, too...
(It's ETC...for: et cetera, a Latin expression meaning "and other things" or "and so on"...not ECT, and you only use it once. Also, because it is an abbreviation, a PERIOD must be used {etc.}. Furthermore, it isn't about how it SOUNDS, it is about how it READS. TALKING and WRITING have very different and distinct rules {and most of us read without moving our lips}.) Then again, given that you are "never wrong", you already KNEW this and you were just playing ignorant...for effect.
no need to use a comma between the words wrong and too.as the word too is used in place of the word also or very your sentence would read they were wrong, also which is just wrong.Yul Brynner The King and I 1956. "etc etc etc." no full stops and i use it so often i forget that it is in fact a quote from a movie and that i should have used quotation marks, sorry Yul.i also know what etc means but thank you for your definition any way,it is your definition and not one you copied straight from google?with all those quotation marks its hard to tell which definition is yours and which is a definition from some one else, was it a misuse of quotation marks? the ect ect ect is down to my abilities to type only being exceeded but my abilities to read and wright."furthermore,it isn't about how it SOUNDS,its about how it READS" should in fact read furthermore it isn't about how it sounds its about how it reads,no need for commas or upper case letters.TRUE,NO,THEY,ETC,ECT,PERIOD,SOUNDS,READS,TALKING,WRITING and KNEW? since when has the use of upper case letters to make a point or emphasize the point of a word been an acceptable part of written English?i was under the impression that that is what punctuation marks are for and/or that the words them selfs should impart what you have to say with out having to resort to the hysterical use of incorrectly perceived grammar.you have also opened brackets for no reason,"(it's ETC...for.",there is no need for a full stop after the word "for" either and it should read from too not "for",and failed to close them but then why would you as i said you had no reason to open them in the first place.the use of the word also to start a sentence,"Also, because",? no!the word also is sentence connector or modifies an existing sentence, or thought, so placing it at the begining of a sentence, it will do neither as there is no pre existing sentence or sentences to connect or modify,is wrong, funny thing is you could have used a comma.{ }are mathematical equation marks used for delimiting set building and used in written poetry or music.you should have used, even though you had no reason to,the every day, common or garden ( ) instead of trying to appear clever.i may move my lips while i read but then again at least i read with my eyes open.i have passed every examination i have taken i am far from ignorant and i am never wrong.
and it would appear you were unfortunate enough to have had bad ones.teachers teach examiners examin.may be you are just not as clever as you like to think you are or try to portray yourself.
Some women just love punctuation. I would have broken it down into two sentences. However, he chose to take another route. It is still acceptable. I work with a lot of English majors, and they have said the exact same thing. It is acceptable unless you are a punctuation god. I have even run his entire entry through MS, White Smoke, and Grammarly dozens of times, and sweetie you are the only one who sees a problem.
She is not going to let this go, cumdump. She is allergic to commas, and her poorly constructed, misspelled and grammatically incorrect rants have taken a nasty, abusive and delusional turn. Probably best if we just let it go.
(Notice, by the way, that she is "never wrong"...except for the various times she has had to make excuses for her mistakes. There is a difference between "never wrong" and "refusing to accept that you are incorrect".)
my sentences are not poorly constructed nor are they grammatically incorrect, i will admit to some mistakes in my spelling but as i have explained to you before it is more to do with my typing abilities than my ability to spell.speaking of mistakes there is no need for a comma between the words go and cumdump as you are already addressing him he can not be viewed as an ambiguity or that he might be the cause one but seeing as you are so clever you would have known that already, or are you just playing ignorant...for effect?your use of ",and" is incorrect as is placing the sentence containing the words "refusing to accept that you are incorrect" in quotations as you are not qouting from any thing or any one.no need for ( ) either.if you feel the need then please feel free to point out my errors. as for being nasty, abusive and delusional what gives any one the right to use patronising and sanctimonious langauage toward me and if they do what you have me do sit here and take it?he was being a patronising sanctimonious little prick by the way and if some one takes it upon themselfs to be abusive to me then i will respond in kind and or worse.oh and by the way i am never wrong and nobody ever calls me sweetie.
"my sentences are not poorly constructed nor are they grammatically incorrect, i will admit to some mistakes in my spelling but as i have explained to you before it is more to do with my typing abilities than my ability to spell."
The capital letter "M" goes here. (m)y sentences are not poorly constructed nor are they grammatically incorrect, (Try a . or a ; here and followed with a capital letter "I" here.) (i) will admit to some mistakes in my spelling (Here you can cap the sentence off with a period and start off with "However,". It reads better and sounds better.) but as (You need to capitalize the letter "I" here.) (i) have explained ("to you" is unnessesary and make the sentence run a little long.)(to you) before it is more to do with my typing abilities than my ability to spell.
Lets see a corrected version.
My sentences are properly structured and are grammatically correct. I concede to occasional mistakes in my spelling. However, as I have subsequently explained that my typing capabilities are lacking more than my ability to spell.
Forty-two word sentences are not very popular, but they are acceptable.
Three sentences from one and has a much better readability score.
I agree! I learnt or learned (use the word you like best) along time ago to never argue or disagree with a woman. A woman is always right even when they know their wrong. Not all women fall into this category. As the old saying goes, "if the shoe fits, wear it."
If i was religious, I would not be on this site ! we are all different and I don't mind. Please talk about beautiful bodies, fab genitals and sexual attraction.
I was offended as well. It seemed as though the poster, Mr. sexy, decided that he would post a picture that is not even relevant to the topic. Was it possible that he had the expectation of diffusing this topic?
LET IT BE KNOWN...the posting of an off-topic cock pic (no matter how handsome it is ) will NEVER stop me from expressing my...um...Damn, that is one nice looking dick! Um...where was I?
No need to be that sorry, sexyjb! It isn't the end of the world, and we are just a bunch of smart-asses on the internet. Who actually gives a crap what any of us think?
As long as the pictures don't break the rules or depict anything I l l e g a l, it doesn't matter if other members like it or not. If you don't like it, then don't look at it. This applies to all members, viewing or posting. On a personal note, I find a lot of pictures on this site unappealing so I don't click on them or visit that person's page. It is very simple.
Thank goodness for that !! I have learnt a valuable lesson not to ever post anything remotely controversial in the forum ever again ! Over and out !! Thanks for everybody's input whether good or bad
Rather then saying that you learned your lesson and won't post topics that may be considered controversial.....you just might want to consider being receptive and open minded to the responses received.
Of course you are right Bella...the thing is I am very open minded but it's the way some members immediately verbally attack a person that gets me going. I guess I shouldn't over react but the responses one gets are far from being open minded or am I wrong
Gawd, i am so damn tired of this thread...
However, I have to point out that it was YOU who started the ball rolling by demanding that another member be banned! Where was "open minded" when that started? In your own words: "Are you too thick" to see the hypocrisy in that?
Open minded yes but that pic was totally wrong in my opinion ! If you are so tired of this thread then please refer back to your first response....so in your own words Gawd "STOP LOOKING AT IT THEN"....Rather not accuse others of hypocrisy....practice what you preach china !!
"parenthetical" and what is essential to the meaning of a sentence.

1. I completely understand why no one ever calls you "sweetie".
2. If you push the correct button, a peanut will fall into your dish.
